Least of the brethren....

Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Today the girls were outside a lot and got a work on the tree house with their dad. It was time for bed and their feet were very dirty. So I did what I usually do and got a washcloth with soap and water and started washing Zoe's feet. What she said warmed my heart and blessed me so much. She said, "Mommy, you are just like Jesus! You are washing my feet like he washed the disciples feet!" I just smiled and said, "that's right!" I am so blessed! I have such a wonderful vocation.     Some days it seems like all you are doing is disciplining and teaching over and over again. It is so nice when you hear the Word coming out of them, no matter how small. The Lord has given us such a wonderful life as mothers. After 6:00 in the evening Sunday 90 degrees outside! Between Arrogance and Despair

Faith Alone by Martin Luther June 24 BETWEEN ARROGANCE AND DESPAIR But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6 We shouldn’t become proud in times of prosperity nor despair in times of trouble. On the one hand, we must keep our arrogance in check by fearing God. On the other hand, we should cling to his mercy in those times when we think he is angry with us. By doing so, we won’t crash into heaven with our big heads or fall flat on our faces on the earth. The person who is humble and has a broken heart is neither proud nor full of despair. Yet it’s difficult for us to avoid both arrogance and despair. In our weakness, we sometimes swerve to the right and sometimes to the left. Whenever we feel overconfident or full of despair, we must make an effort to resist such tendencies. We cannot give in to either one. When an archer misses the bull’s-eye, the archer is still awarded...

It's a Happy Day

Daddy's singing "it's a happy day!" To Nadia

Reminder of who a mother, wife, sister, and daughter is!

Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. 12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. 13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. 14 She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar. 15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. 16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. 17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. 18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. 19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. 20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. 21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. 22...
